Katy's Race For Life!
On Sunday the 24th June 2007, our top sales assistant Katy took part in the Race for Life in aid of cancer research. The huge turnout for the 5K run from Bournemouth pier to Boscombe pier and back again numbered far in excess of the previous year, and was cheered on by a large, enthusiastic crowd of supporters.
Most were running for a friend or a relative who has been affected by cancer.
In a field of over 7,000, Katy obtained a good position at the start and achieved a highly creditable 5th place in a time of just 22 minutes in near monsoon conditions, at the same time losing all credibility of excuses for arriving late for work!
Thanks to all of our customers, suppliers and associates who supported and generously sponsored Katy in this worthwhile event.
Katy raised £240 for Cancer research.
